I want to say up front on this post I am extremely sympathetic to the farming community and the double bind that they are being put in regarding the use of Glyphosate. I also recognize that this is not something that is possible to change over night, a very large percentage of our food supply is dependent on the widespread use of these pesticides. It is in part because of that dependance that I am convinced the farming practices in this country have to change. I was recently driving down my local highway and saw the picture on the left asking people to stand up for the use of glyphosate in Missouri.

I took a quick look and MondernAGalliance organization was founded by Bayer, who bought Monsanto in 2018 and consequently is the primary manufacturer of glyphosate. This is an obvious and ridicules conflict of interest. There have already 11 Billion dollars in lawsuits awarded against Bayer/Monsanto linking Glyphosate to CLL/ Hodgkin's Lymphoma/ Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and Multiple Myeloma and some intestinal cancers as well.

I have spent the last 18 years working with people with these cancers in Missouri/Kansas/Texas/Oklahoma/Nebraska/Iowa - the Midwest basically, some older, many under 30.

To that point Glyphosate began to be used as a drying agent, specifically for crops like wheat, in the late stages of their growth cycle, around the time of the introduction of Roundup Ready crops in the mid-to-late 1990s

Glyphosate kills Lactobacillus species, Bifidobacterium, among other butyrate-producing bacteria which provides energy for colon cells. They also help prevent infections and regulate the immune response. 

The cancers associated are unfortunately the most common cases I get.

All of these clients show glyphosate poisoning.

I can't think of anything more detrimental to the health of the communities in this part of the country than the continued widespread use of this product.

By the time this controversy is over it will be associated not just with these cancers but GERD, IBS, Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis as well. (along with over exposure to Aluminum) that is just my anecdotal observation but its well founded in experience "on the ground" so to speak.

It is the single most detrimental environmental exposure in this part of the country, mostly because people have NO IDEA how much exposure they have.

If you are interested I am putting below a place to contact your rep's in Missouri and let them know how you feel about Bayer attempting to lobby against the people of Missouri (and i am sure the rest of the Midwest as well) for their own interest.
